About The Workshop
Join Róisín for a contemporary workshop full of physicality and virtuosity. We will start with floor work phrases to warm us up and then move to the side of the room where we will
work through handstands and more acrobatic elements to focus on strengthening through
the arms. Heading back into the centre we will get the back and the rest of the body
moving, finishing with some short phrases and jumps to get the heart rate pumping.
We will then move into a creative session, taking creative tasks from Róisín’s previous work
and putting them into practice. We will focus on creating small duets and trios inspired by
Róisín’s 2023 work The Tipsy Flamingo, which was created in Valencia, Spain and toured
throughout 2023.
Please wear comfortable clothes/dance gear. Kneepads are recommended and don't forget some water!
